A world-class family brand born from a small knitwear workshop with an adjoining school, run by the Collina family, where, since the first post-war period, there have been innovative machinery used to create the first sweaters destined for the German and Northern European markets. The small workshop soon becomes the virtuous center of a territory that is changing its production vocation to prepare to become the beating heart of the Italian knitwear system. Between technological innovations and creative turns that lead the company to collaborate on behalf of third parties with the most important Italian fashion houses, we arrive at the early 80s when the young Roberto Collina, son of the founders, decides to give his name to a capsule collection of 33 men's sweaters presented at Pitti Uomo, marking the official debut of the company on the international fashion scene. From this moment on, the success of a brand that encompasses contemporary artistic suggestions and authentic heritage is consolidated, transforming it into a pret à porter dominated by quality, beauty and continuous research. In 1990 Roberto Collina debuted with his first women's collection and the brand, which until then had been synonymous with men's fashion, now embodies, even in its feminine essence, poetic stylistic rigor and impeccable quality of Italian workmanship.
